Leading article Carmen Musat discusses this year’s Gaudeamus Book Fair as a place for new entries in Romanian literature, such as a new literary magazine (The New Literature) and the books published after December 1989, which prove that one can speak of a new literature in postcommunist Romania, displaying distinct narrative formulas, styles and themes, which are to enrich the field of Romanian literary discourse.
